John began “Platinum Eldercare” in 1989, the very first In-Home Care Agency in all of San Diego County.

We are the first and Most Established Business in the Home Care Industry throughout the entire County of San Diego!

Now beginning its 27th year, Platinum Eldercare has been providing the best solution for Concierge and In-Home care by providing services customized to the needs of the client, and their family, while at the same time relieving their family members, private and corporate fiduciaries, attorneys and bankers of these time consuming detailed duties.

Wanting to help Veterans and the many returning Wounded Warriors, John established “Vets Caring for Vets” in early 2011 and designed it around the proven and highly successful Platinum Eldercare model. “Vets Caring for Vets was originally designed to help the Veteran and their Family resolve the many issues that arise in providing In-Home care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s), for their injured, disabled and retired Veterans, their Spouses or their Survivors wishing to remain at Home with Dignity and Respect.”

“We expanded our services to include the care of Civilians after receiving demands from the public to have a Veteran provide their care. The public recognized that Veterans are well trained in their duties and are accustomed to taking orders and accomplishing their mission without excuses.”

John serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Veterans Coalition. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Veterans Employment Task Force, and serves on the Board of Directors of the “Arc” of San Diego which serves those with developmental disabilities and other handicaps. He’s an active member of the United Veterans Council of San Diego County, a member of the Navy League, San Diego Chapter, as well as an active member of the “One VA Committee” serving San Diego’s VA Healthcare System and the La Jolla VA Hospital. John is also an auxiliary member of MOAA (Military Officers Assoc of America), a member of the San Diego North County Veteran Interfaith Council. He is also a member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Men’s Auxiliary and a “SAL” (Sons of the American Legion) member of the American Legion.

John is one of the original 26 Founding Charter Members of the La Jolla Sunrise Rotary Club established in 1984, in La Jolla, CA. Starting in his late 20’s he served as a Board Member of the United Way of San Diego. During that time he also served as a Member of the Planned Giving committee for the University of California, San Diego Campus and a Board member of the San Diego Master Chorale. He served as a Member of the San Diego Estate Planning Council in the 1980’s. He is currently a member of several other Care and Veteran organizations (too numerous to mention).

He enjoys his work helping others, while finding new clients creates the continuous need for more and more new veteran hires.
